Athletic Taping Only

Taping can be a beneficial part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Taping can aid in pain management and enhance the body's natural healing process. Low-Level Laser Therapy Only

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), also know as photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy is a technique that uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular function. Low-intensity lasers or LEDs emit light at a specific wavelength, typically in the red or near-infrared spectrum,. These wavelengths are absorbed by cellular components. The light energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the mitochondria in the cells. Mitochondria are the energy powerhouses of the cell, and the light stimulates them to produce more ATP which is a key energy carrier in cells. The increase in ATP production boosts cellular metabolism, which enhances cell growth and repair processes. It also improved blood flow and reduces inflammation. Clinical benefits include accelerated would healing, reduction of pain and inflammation, improve nerve function, and minimize the development of fibrous tissue which can contribute to chronic pain.
